MANHATTAN: An East Harlem man, Saul Sanchez, 62, has been charged with second-degree murder, assault, and weapon possession after allegedly fatally stabbing a 17-year-old during a dispute in Manhattan, police said.
The altercation occurred around 6 p.m. near East 108th Street and Second Avenue, where Sanchez, Carlos Rivas, and a 22-year-old man were involved in an argument that escalated into violence. Sanchez allegedly stabbed Rivas in the chest and abdomen. Rivas later died at Harlem Hospital.
The 22-year-old suffered a stab wound to his arm, and Sanchez sustained a cut on his forehead. Both are in stable condition. Sanchez was arrested Saturday.
