Staten Island Teens Attacked by Knife-Wielding Maniac After Bagel Shop Dispute

STATEN ISLAND: A violent confrontation at a Staten Island bagel shop escalated early Sunday when a masked man followed two teenagers home and stabbed them, along with another teen who intervened, police said.

The 2 a.m. argument at Bagel Depot on Richmond Avenue turned dangerous when the suspect, wearing a hoodie, brandished a knife. After the teens—19 and 16—left the shop and returned to their Chesebrough Street home, the suspect followed them and launched his attack.

The 19-year-old man was slashed on the leg, and the 16-year-old girl sustained a cut on her arm. A 14-year-old boy, who stepped out of the house during the incident, was also slashed on the knee.

Police responded to a 911 call and found the injured trio, who were transported to Staten Island University North Hospital in stable condition.

This senseless act of violence underscores the growing disregard for public safety and accountability in a city where policies increasingly embolden criminals.
