STATEN ISLAND: A 51-year-old man was stabbed in the chest in the vicinity of Palma Drive and Park Hill Avenue just after 5 p.m.
The victim was transported in stable condition to Staten Island University Hospital, Ocean Breeze, police said.
Police said a 31-year-old man was taken into custody,
Following the incident, officers could be seen canvassing nearby woods while an NYPD helicopter hovered overhead.
The investigation remains ongoing, police said.
